"The art of natural dying has strengthened my connection to the natural world while helping me understand my place in it." - Jessica Robertson, owner + creator HONOR | OF

We don't like to play favorites, but we not only love Nashville, we truly love Jessica Robertson, the artisan behind HONOR | OF. Standing outside over a caldron mixing her potion of flowers, bark and moss that she scavenges for (each creating their one-of-a-kind color) is where you will find Jessica most days creating her art and collection of hand-dyed silk scarves and farmer’s market totes.

Jessica is truly one-of-a-kind herself, whose warm spirit and connection to nature drew us in immediately. Shop items from her collection in our Makers Market keep reading below to learn all her favorite spots in Nashville. – Hobo

Jessica Robertson here! I am so excited to share my favorite spots in Nashville with you. File this blog post under "travel guides" and book a trip to this city I call home. xx

1. Southern Thrift

Local Thrift Store I frequent almost weekly; I grew up with the "one man’s trash is another man’s treasure" mentality and something about browsing thrift stores calms me.

BONUS PERK: By purchasing previously loved items, it not only gives them new life, but hopefully will make an impact on the world of fast fashion and reduce waste in the long run (fingers crossed).

2. Dozen Bakery

My most favorite local bakery / breakfast stop. It’s my go to place to do business meetings, tackle web work, & OKAY, YES, TO ALSO indulge on their delicious pies (lemon lavender is my favorite!)

3. Frist Art Museum

It was here that I first experienced how art could make you feel in person. The thoughts, feelings, and solitude of roaming from one work of art to the next, is one of my most favorite things to do in Nashville. The Monet, Van Gogh, Picasso, and Degas exhibit is about to begin through the spring, and I cannot wait to check it out!

4. BOOKS at Cummins Station

Hands down, my favorite book shop in all of Nashville currently. It’s been here since the mid-90’s and is packed floor to ceiling with over 40k books—It's pure heaven. I could spend hours in here.

5. High Garden Tea

This is my ultimate refuge even on the coldest/ dreariest of days. Leah and Joel have created such a haven with this unique and healing space. (Ahem, no laptops allowed!) Serving the most delicious homemade teas and kombucha in town, they are very serious about sourcing the most quality herbs while being mindful and respectful of growing practices for our precious planet earth and preserving the integrity of incredibly healing plants.
