Nashville Leather Lounge

Well, Nashville, that was awesome. As everyone knows from Instagram, the Hobo Leather Lounge set up shop last weekend at White’s Mercantile in 12 South. If you were in the area, you probably spotted the vintage truck outside, complete with a Hobo decal on the door and plenty of plants in the bed.

Inside, all the Leather Lounge vibes came to life with layered rugs, a bohemian bench swing, macramé details, a living plant wall by Gardens of Babylon, hanging leather hides, and of course, our leather bags. The inspiration for the Hobo Leather Lounge comes from our roots, the iconic ‘70s leather shop where Koren Ray’s mom, Toni Ray, learned her craft. Georgetown Leather was a shop, but also the cool spot in town to be; locals would go there to hang out as the smell of leather permeated the air and music played. The Hobo X Nashville Leather Lounge was just that- people came to shop leather and ended up hanging out with us while enjoying drinks, bites, and music.

We kicked off the weekend with two parties in one night…it’s the Hobo way! First a VIP party hosted by Karen Elson and then an after party hosted by Ruthie Lindsey. Drinks and food flowed throughout the night, thanks to Urban Cowboy and Henrietta Red. VIP guests were treated to an incredible performance by Karen herself as we celebrated our launch of the "Oh My Goddess" Artisan Series collection.

Daniella Mason kept the live music going into the night as people socialized, shopped, and snapped selfies.

It was so fun reuniting with our Modern Day Hobo crew, including Jessica Robertson, Brailey Lenderman, David Perry and more! Their images were on display, so the photo ops were endless.

As the weekend continued, we met so many Hobo fans, some of which came in wearing their bags or pulled out their well-loved Hobo wallets. We also got to chat with new friends as they loved on the leather, tried on bags, and decided which one would be their first-ever Hobo.

Erin Rae, Katie Schecter, and Bantug brought live music to the lounge during the days, and we also had Matchless Coffee and Kindred Catering on site for the brew, bites, and cocktails. Last but not least, our very artistic Modern Day Hobo, Emily Miller, live-painted a beautiful bird mural throughout the weekend. A big shout-out goes to our incredible co-host, Native Magazine, for helping us bring the Leather Lounge to life, as well as Holly Williams of White’s Mercantile for letting us takeover her carport area for the weekend.
