We have teamed up with one of our favorite duos from NYC- @nycxclothes! They’ve styled their favorites from our Sheila Collective plus chatted with us about personal style, being part of team and what they love to collect.
Q&A with @nycxclothes
How do you describe your individual styles?
S&C: We draw a lot of inspiration from living in NYC and from our Caribbean background, so we’d say our style is timeless, eclectic yet always polished.
How do your individual personalities complement one another and strengthen your relationship as a team?
With our style as with our work, we’re both very curious and willing to experiment, Chris maybe less so but still generally open-minded. There are some core things we love (like a good pair of denim, comfortable and chic low heels and a polished shoulder bag), but we’re always open to colors, prints and new combinations. So that attitude translates into us being willing to take more work in business.
What are your favorite things to collect?
We’ve always had an eye for design and interior décor so our favorite things to collect are vintage furniture items. We love going to estate sales upstate or out in the Hamptons to source them. It’s always a treasure hunt but so worth it for timeless and unique pieces. In recent times, we’ve also been introduced to a world of vintage fashion so this is an exciting area for us to explore.
